Implementing Hostname Validation
When operating in Semi-Integrated mode, you have the option to include hostname
validation in your client. When the terminal is activated, a certificate is generated on
the terminal and a Subject Alternative Name (SAN) is added. On the terminal, the SAN can
be viewed as the Domain Name System (DNS) name for the Acceptance Devices app
server.
The SAN is generated in this format: {terminal serial number}.cybs.seclib.io.
To perform hostname validation or to connect to the terminal using a SAN instead of an IP
address, you can add the terminal IP address and SAN to your hosts file.
