Performing a Standalone Credit

This section describes how to perform a standalone credit. This transaction is used to process a credit without reference to the original transaction. The customer is required to present their card for this type of transaction. When processing a standalone credit, the credit amount is not limited because there is no reference to the original transaction amount. The recommendation is to use a linked refund whenever possible. Follow these steps to perform a standalone credit:

Create a

TransactionParameters

object and provide the required information for the payment.

Retrieve the

transactionIntent

from the

mposUi

object and use the

startActivity

method to initiate the transaction flow.

After the transaction is completed and the Summary screen is dismissed,

onActivityResult

is triggered. This action returns information about the last transaction.
