PAN Tokenization Process Using `TMS` {#tms-workflow-tknization-tms}

This workflow shows the tokenization process for `TMS` tokens.

1. The customer makes a purchase on the merchant's website using a PAN.
2. The merchant sends the PAN to the `Visa Acceptance Solutions` gateway.
3. `TMS` creates a token for the merchant to store.
4. `Visa Acceptance Solutions` detokenizes the `TMS` token when it is used in a transaction.
5. The detokenized PAN is exchanged across the payment ecosystem.
