`Unified Checkout` {#boarding_unified_checkout}

`Unified Checkout` provides a single interface with which you can accept numerous types of card, digital, and alternative payments. `Unified Checkout` calls other follow-on services such as Payments, `Decision Manager`, `Payer Authentication`, and `Token Management Service` (`TMS`).

Prerequisites
-------------

You must meet these requirements to enable and configure `Unified Checkout` for your merchants:

* `Unified Checkout` must be enabled at the portfolio level before it can be added to merchant accounts. To enable at the `Unified Checkout` at the portfolio level, contact your sales representative.
* Create a REST API Shared Secret Key.
* Enable message-level encryption.
